*NYC’s hidden gem*

We all know nyc is expensive, but your groceries don’t have to be. A friend of mine just told me about this great place where you can get fresh fruits and vegetables for SO cheap.
It’s called Stiles Farmers Market, and is located at 352 west 52nd steet in Hell’s Kitchen, between 8th and 9th ave. It’s pretty small, and is easy to miss, but midway down the block you’ll see a green tent next to a parking lot, and that’s Stiles. A hidden gem.
Once inside, you’ll find all the fresh produce you need. Here’s what I bought on my most recent trip:
5 apples for $2 ($1 a pound, compared to other places that charge $2.50 a pound)
6 bananas for $1
a head of lettuce for $1
3 cucumbers for a $1
a bag of carrots for $1
5 kiwis for $1
3 oranges for $1
bagels for $.40 each
a bag of pita bread for $1.50
=set for the week for less than $10!
It almost sounds too good to be true, but it’s not. They also have fresh baked goods, including tri-color cookies, and you can grind your own coffee beans for less than $3 a bag, which can last you for a whole month. I recommend mixing the vanilla coffee beans with the french roast beans…..best coffee i’ve ever had.
i could go on all day, but by now you get the point…
